The intention of the show is to choose music that I love or feel is important rather than to follow a certain theme. For example, tonight (after synagogue!), we will listen to (amongst others): Caetano Veloso, Chick Corea, King Sunny Ade, Cedar Walton, a very young Aretha Franklin and some new, very cool exciting younger artists I've been following. We'll also pay homage to two extremely important jazz musicians whose birthdays were this week ' John Coltrane and Fats Navarro.
