Pivot Point with Maya RockeymooreShow ended 2014. Pivot Point with Maya Rockeymoore is a new live public affairs radio show dedicated to aging issues and their intersection with politics, public policy, and popular culture. We seek to democratize the "public square" by creating a multi-media platform that showcases diverse people and views that are truly reflective of our nation and world. Brought to you by The National Committee To Preserve Social Security & Medicare.

Pivot Point is hosted by Dr. Maya Rockeymoore an advocate and analyst in the areas of public health, Social Security and Medicare, education, and civic engagement. Dr. Rockeymoore is the Board Chair of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare and President and CEO of Global Policy Solutions.

In today’s world, there are many deep thinkers, committed advocates, accomplished scholars, and passionate spokespeople who not only have a lot to say about the challenges facing humanity but have ideas that can actually help change our world for the better. Unfortunately, these experts have few mainstream outlets through which their information and opinions can be heard.

We seek to highlight solutions to our most intractable challenges and to demonstrate that there are many people who have informed opinions and good ideas on a wide variety of subjects.

Most importantly, we seek to help the leaders of our democratic institutions understand the importance of embracing diversity – for we can best solve our problems when we recognize, leverage, and deploy the best ideas from a wide variety of sources.

Pivot Point with Maya Rockeymoore will regularly feature the Grassroots Corner with Ernie Powell the Grassroots National Director at the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare. The Grassroots Corner will host some of the best and brightest organizers in the country discussing the art and skill of organizing.
